A Little Bit About.....

My photo
Madeline was my grandmother on my mother's side. She was an amazing little Irish woman. How blessed we were to have her. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her. I am the wife of my bestfriend, the mother of four amazing kids ages 25, 22, 17 and 4. I am a grandma to 2 beautiful little boys and the mom-in-law to a terrific man. I come from a big wonderful family. My parents are my idols. My dad was always the silent one and my mom was the "tough" one. I have so much admiration for them and love being their daughter. I have 4 sisters and one brother, but I only have 3 surviving sisters now. My sister Michele passed away suddenly in 1989. I married into an amazing Italian family. I believe in God and Angels, and Ghosts. Not bad ones, but ones that just can't decide if they should stay or go. I believe that if you want something bad enough, you just need to believe and it will be yours. I believe that everyone means something to someone and this life without you would be miserable.

Pink Saturday

I am actually really late with my Pink Post, but I guess my "newborn" in my last post was pink....so that counted.
Here are a few Pinks that I just fell in love with when I saw them
The Pink bike, I want for my birthday...while riding my bike, I wish I could wear the beautiful pink dress and sweater while smelling the flowers!!
Happy Pink Saturday.
Thank You Beverly!!

Happy Birthday To You

Friday April 23rd is our little Giovani's 2nd birthday.
Where or where have the last 2 years gone? We spent 13 years waiting for him to come and bless our family and now 2 years have passed since that glorious day of his arrival.
I know all parents, especially mommies feel their children are the most amazing, smart, gifted, talented, beautiful children in the world and I must say....I am one of them. All of my kids are all of these and MORE. Our little man is no exception. He has made our lives so complete. He brings such joy to our family every single day. He has the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile that could make your heart jump. His laugh is contagious and to stand behind him and watch his little strut is hilarious.
Now, don't get me wrong...he is 2, which as all of us moms know, is NOT the easiest age (ie "Terrible Twos"). But I guess him being the youngest of 4 and us being much, much older (uuggghhh) and wiser(ha)than we were with our first 3, we just take most of it in stride. The lack of sleep these past two years has not been easy, but when I hold him, his head on my shoulder and the little pat on my back while rocking him or the big MUAHHH kisses, well....it is all so worth it.
Happy Birthday my sweet little boy. Mommy loves you more than you will EVER possibly know.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Giovani, happy birthday to you!! And many, many more.

Silver Sunday

Thank you Gypsy Fish Journal for Hosting Silver Sunday.
The tea set I got from my mother in law, the silver baby cup is my daughter's from her Uncle Frank (who passed away 10 years ago-so it is a treasure).
The silver canisters sit on my kitchen counter along side the coffee maker and silver espresso server that was my husband's grandmother's.

Getting ready for summer

I do hope you all had a very blessed Easter.
I enjoyed my day with my beautiful little family...It was sort of a revolving door kind of day, with one going to work at 2pm and the other getting off of work at 2:30pm and my hubby being on call!! But, at least I got to have everyone at some point during the day.
As I stated in my last post, I REALLY enjoy the warm sunny weather. I am a "sunshine kinda girl"...rain really messes with my "vibe". Here are a few more warm weather pictures to get me ready for summer...sorry but I really love the picture of the little boys-it makes me happy
